The doctor does not recommend doing quadrilateral surgery because it requires a long duration of anesthesia, carries a high risk of embolism, and can cause multiple trauma in the legs. Thus, he recommends doing the second lengthening surgery at least a month after the first surgery, but he prefers the operated area to heal properly and then, go for the second segment. Accordingly, the doctor can perform the second surgery on 3/6 or 12 months after the first operation. Considering doing two surgeries 3-month apart, the recovery time could be 8/9 months.
