Every international patient whose limb lengthening surgery is arranged through Wanna Be Taller receives a complication insurance policy issued in their name by Demir Health and Life Insurance Co. It is included in your package price and stays valid for 6 months.
Three things to know
Issued by the insurer
The policy is issued in your name by the contracted insurance company, Demir Health and Life Insurance Co. Wanna Be Taller does not sell insurance or act as an insurance agent.
Revision surgery included
If revision surgery is needed due to a complication of your surgery in Turkey, the diagnostic tests, the revision surgery and required medications fall under the inpatient treatment benefit, subject to the policy terms and limits.
You see the policy first
Your patient coordinator shares the full policy document with you before your surgery, so you can read every limit and deductible in advance.
The policy also includes extra benefits from the insurance company: accommodation and transportation support during complication treatment, baggage cover, legal consultancy while you are in Turkey, passport renewal if your passport is lost or stolen, and a contribution to treatment expenses in your home country. Limits and deductibles are set by the insurer.

Wanna Be Taller is a health tourism facilitator; treatments are provided by contracted health institutions holding a health tourism authorization certificate. The complication insurance policy is issued by Demir Health and Life Insurance Co., and all coverage is subject to the policy terms. Travel services are provided by Hemcar, a Group A travel agency (Ministry of Culture and Tourism certificate no. 12109).
