Ezequiel is a dedicated 40-year-old teacher and philanthropist from Spain, passionate about fitness, personal growth, and continually striving to become the best version of himself each day. He deeply loves his profession and finds immense joy in helping others, regularly volunteering his time whenever the opportunity arises. Despite leading a fulfilling and active life, there was always one personal aspiration close to his heart: he wanted to be taller.
Ezequiel took his first step toward achieving this dream with an initial consultation in December 2024. Determined to make an informed decision, he traveled to Istanbul to visit our clinic, meet our medical team, and explore our facilities firsthand. He stayed at our designated patient accommodation, carefully assessing the safety, comfort, and suitability from the perspective of someone planning such a life-changing procedure.
First Step to Be Taller
We were genuinely delighted to welcome Ezequiel and honored that he chose to personally verify our services and facilities. His thoughtful approach affirmed our belief that we were the right partner for his transformative journey ahead.
He set a high but attainable goal for himself: a height increase of 8 to 9 centimeters that would enable him to reach 180 cm and beyond. For him, this growth represented more than just numbers on a scale; it was the final missing piece of a beautifully crafted puzzle. He deeply believed that gaining this height would open doors to personal growth, allowing him to experience life from a new, elevated perspective, both literally and metaphorically.
When Ezequiel visited our clinic, he listened carefully to the valuable guidance from our doctor and physiotherapists. Motivated by their recommendations, he immediately began a tailored routine of pre-operative exercises designed to stretch and prepare his muscles. These exercises weren’t just tasks to him: they became stepping stones, gently paving the way toward a smoother and more comfortable lengthening journey. Ezequiel knew that the dedication he put into preparing his body would reward him with an easier, more successful recovery process.
In July, the moment Ezequiel had been eagerly preparing for finally arrived. He boarded a flight from Spain to Turkey, marking another significant milestone in his transformative journey.
Just one day after his arrival, our team warmly accompanied him to our hospital, guiding him through each stage of essential pre-operative evaluations. Ezequiel patiently underwent detailed assessments; comprehensive blood tests, anesthesia evaluations, precise X-ray imaging, and a full spectrum of vital examinations, each step bringing him closer to his dream.
Following these assessments, Ezequiel met with our doctor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Öç, for a thorough consultation and physical examination. Dr. Öç meticulously reviewed Ezequiel’s X-rays, carefully evaluating his physical readiness for the surgery. It quickly became clear that Ezequiel’s dedicated commitment to flexibility and stretching exercises had fully prepared him for this pivotal moment. Impressed by Ezequiel’s diligence and determination, Dr. Öç confidently confirmed that he was indeed ready to pursue his ambitious height-increase goal of at least 8 centimeters: exactly what Ezequiel had envisioned when he first embarked on this life-changing path.
The next day marked a pivotal moment in Ezequiel’s journey: the day of his surgery had finally arrived. Filled with anticipation and hope, he entered the operating room, fully trusting the skilled hands of our surgical team.
Following a successful operation, Ezequiel was gently transferred to his comfortable patient room, where a dedicated caregiver from our team remained by his side, providing constant care and support throughout his four-day hospitalization. Each day, our surgeon carefully monitored his recovery, ensuring everything was progressing smoothly, while our physiotherapist visited regularly, guiding him through essential exercises to strengthen and prepare his body for the upcoming transformation.
When the time came for discharge, Ezequiel felt a sense of accomplishment and relief; the most challenging step was now behind him. He was transported comfortably via private ambulance to our affiliated hotel, where a nurturing environment awaited him. Upon arrival, he felt reassured, noticing that the post-operative discomfort had significantly eased, allowing him to fully commit to his daily physiotherapy sessions and focus wholeheartedly on his healing and gradual growth.
Throughout these initial critical days, Ezequiel thoughtfully documented his experiences, generously sharing his insights and personal journey in his YouTube channel. By doing so, he offered invaluable guidance and inspiration to others contemplating the same transformative path, turning his own story of recovery into a beacon of hope and encouragement for many people who were dreaming of being taller.
After completing his lengthening phase and achieving a total of 7 cm of height gain, Ezequiel returned to Spain to continue his recovery at home.
Today, he has already begun walking on his own — slowly, steadily, and proudly.
Ezequiel shared with us that although the journey was challenging at times, the results have been life-changing. He documented in his socials the mild edema he had faced right before the removal of his fixators, however he had powered through them for the ultimate goal he had in mind before starting.
He described feeling “finally aligned with the version of myself I always felt inside”, and expressed how grateful and happy he is to have taken this step for his future.

He is approaching the final stage of this transformative experience. From now on, he will continue his life feeling more comfortable in his body, more at peace with himself and more aligned with the person he always felt inside.

There were challenges. There were moments that tested both his body and his spirit. Yet with every step, from the first movements after surgery to the strides he takes today, he carried hope and belief in his future. He chose change. He chose growth. Most importantly, he chose himself.
Today, Ezequiel stands taller not only physically, but emotionally. He carries a renewed sense of self-worth, a deeper understanding of resilience and a peaceful acceptance of his personal journey.
