Since lengthening in this region has lower effect on the body proportion, it is possible to achieve 9-11 cm lengthening in the femur.
Lower Leg (Tibia): Maximum 7-8 cm lengthening is possible for the lower leg with LRS device. Since the physical properties do not permit more lengthening, it is not recommended for this region.
LRS Device Capacities and Limitations:
- The capacity of the LRS devices generally change between 400-5000 Irs.
- 400 Irs devices allow approximately 10 cm lengthening.
- 450 Irs devices can be used for longer lengthening such as 15 cm. However, 450 Irs devices can only be used for individuals taller than 170 cm.

- The End of Lengthening: The lengthening is completed approximately in 100 days. Device removal surgery is planned as soon as possible and the fixator is removed.
